Gus has really been quite polite lately, possibly as a result of the kids working on this at his play school. Our house is full of thank yous, you’re welcomes, and increasingly some pleases make their way in. This is in nice contrast to the whines and tantrums.
Some funny recent conversations:
Papa: “Gus, I love you so much”.
Gus: “Thank you Papa!”
Papa: “You’re welcome Gus”.
Gus: “Thank you for saying ‘you’re welcome’”.
Papa: “You’re welcome for saying you’re welcome’”.
Gus: “The end”.
Gus: “Papa, do police helicopters say please?”
Papa: “What, baby?”
Gus: “Papa, do please helicopters say please? Hahahahaha!”
Gus (from the backseat on the way to his friend Jonah’s house tonight): “It just makes me a little disappointed when Jonah says ‘no’ to me. I would like for him to say ‘yes’”.
